Proprietary Information

If you are in receipt of proprietary information from an industry sponsor/partner, it may be export controlled.  Such information needs to be appropriately safeguarded to avoid export violations. 

Such information should be  governed by a Non-Disclosure Agreement managed by the appropriate university office.  If so, it will generally be determined at the time of negotiation if export controls apply to the incoming information.  

Work closely with the Export Controls Program whenever you are handling or receiving information that may be export controlled.  

Military Critical Technical Data Agreement (DD2345)

If you are required to obtain a DD2345 agreement (e.g. to attend a conference or meeting), please contact the Export Controls Program immeditely for further assistance.  Normally this is an indicator that you will be receiving controlled information which must be managed accordingly.
