  The Center for Corporate Education at Stony Brook University was one of the first academic institutions in the nation to step in and respond to the economic repercussions of the Wall Street crisis. CCE established its 2009 pilot “Transitional Professional Certificate Program: Wall Street and Beyond” by creating a unique partnership with the three Long Island Work Force Investment Boards, The SBU Career Center, PMI^® Registered Education Provider – Total Systems Education, USGBC (US Green Building Council), the National Association of Home Builders and others. The Center to date has prepared more than 1500 for reentry into the workforce.
