Founded in 2006 as the School of Journalism, we were renamed the School of Communication and Journalism in 2021. We are home to over 300 students and over 30 faculty members. Over 65% of our faculty hold terminal degrees. The following centers are housed in the School: MissionThe School of Communication and Journalism educates the next generations of communication, journalism, and media leaders, practitioners, scholars, and professionals. It supports and integrates effective science and health communication research and practice, and explores, defines and strengthens the role of engaged communication in society. VisionThe word's most complex and pressing problems require honest, inclusive, effective, fact-based communication. We envision a world that takes seriously the need for communication across all forms, platforms and institutions. |
