Effective science communication is more important than ever.
The Alda Center empowers researchers to build trust, inspire action, and drive lasting impact through effective science communication. We see communication as more than a one-way transmission of information – we believe it is the foundation that helps us form meaningful connections, build community, and inspire others to engage with the world in new and exciting ways.
It is through authentic human connections that researchers can generate excitement about science, share their discoveries in ways that resonate, and identify opportunities to draw points of connection with critics. Our team of social scientists and improvisation specialists collaborate across disciplines to deliver cutting-edge professional development programs that prepare researchers with skills to help them connect authentically, listen deeply, and communicate clearly.
We are creating a community for science to belong. Your support will help us advance this critically important work.
General Support
You can provide general support to the Alda Center to advance effective science communication. This includes but is not limited to, program development and delivery, facilitator training and recertification, and professional development for faculty and facilitators, which could include conferences, certifications, improvisation workshops, and/or coursework.

You can support the Alda Center's professional development programs. This includes but is not limited to, curriculum development and refinement, pilot testing, assessment, and formative research to inform new curricula.
