About Us

Stony Brook Esports teams offer students a chance to participate in video game competitions at the collegiate level. Options include varsity and intramural competition. The program currently participates in League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. 

Stony Brook Esports is a member institution of National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) as well as the National Esports Commissioners Cup (NECC). We also compete in annual invitational tournaments that have taken our teams to Honolulu, Boise, Kansas City, Boston, New York City, Rochester, and Dallas.

Our teams have achieved 2 National Championship Titles and 2 Regional Championship Titles in Smash Bros, and 2 Regional Championship Titles in Valorant. These titles include the NACE National Championship, NECC Regional Championship, and Redbull Campus Clutch Valorant Regional Championship.
