Julie Schipper (BA, 2011)

Julie Schipper graduated with her BA in Environmental Design, Policy, and Planning in 2011. She worked in the The Open Restaurant Program with the New York City Department of Transportation.

During the summer of 2012, Julie was an intern for the NYC Department of Transportation and worked in the bike department to promote sustainable transportation throughout the city. The experience gave her an opportunity to use what she learned from the EDP program in real-life situations.

After graduation, Julie went on to work on her Masters of Urban Planning at Hunter College, which she received in 2013. From there, Julie went to The City College of New York and recevied her Masters in Civil Engineering in 2018.

Julie spoke with Faculty Director Donovan Finn about what she's done since leaving Stony Brook University.
