Uses the Science and Technology Risk Matrix to manage risks at the National Laboratories.   

DOE has issued several policies pertinent to research security and the DOE laboratories.  The two most relevant to SBU are:  

DoE Order 486.1 Foreign Government Sponsored or Affiliated Activities 

DOE Order 142.3B Foreign National Access Program 

Both orders pertain to SBU faculty, staff, and students when conducting work at or having electronic access to DOE facilities.
