Though the format of this ceremony has changed, the profundity of these academic achievements has not. I couldn’t be happier to celebrate the important work of these scholars, whose research will help us move forward into a brighter, healthier world.
This ceremony is a wonderful opportunity to recognize the academic and research excellence of our campus and pay tribute to the extraordinary generosity of our donors. Our endowed professorships and chairs give our University the ability to retain and recruit incredible faculty and help build the rich, groundbreaking intellectual community that is Stony Brook.
