CME Student and Faculty Teach Local Girl Scouts about Chemical Engineering

On 3/10/2023, Olivia Calise (CME Class of 2023) and Prof. Yizhi Meng organized an interactive outreach event for Girl Scout Troop 1897 and 2906 where they demonstrated how to make liquid nitrogen ice cream (and sherbert!) . The girls also experimented with making a simple battery using lemons and oranges and explored what happens when ordinary objects are immersed in liquid nitrogen.
