Dave Carlson joined the IACS team in May 2022. Dave received his PhD in 2022 from Stony Brook University's Ecology and Evolution program where he studied the dynamics of plant genome evolution. Prior to arriving at Stony Brook, he received his M.S. and B.S. in Biology from San Diego State University. His research is focused on using high performance computing, bioinformatics, and genomics data to better understand the amazing biological world around us. By combining technical training, computational support, and scientific collaboration, Dave aims to help the Stony Brook community succeed in their research goals.
