UUP WAIVER OF COMPENSATORY TIME FOR HOLIDAY WORK

The contractual agreement between New York State and UUP employees provide for compensation (holiday pay) for work performed during your regular shift for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

The election period is April 1, 2021 through May 15, 2021 close of business. Waivers remain in effect until at least April 1, 2022, and it will continue this way unless a change is submitted during the April 1 to May 15 open period in 2022 or later.

You may elect to participate by completing the Holiday Waiver form, or if you require additional information, contact the Time & Attendance Unit at 631-632-6182. The Holiday Waiver form is also available on the Time and Attendance section of the Human Resource Services Website (www.stonybrook.edu/hr).

If you are scheduled to work, in addition to regular pay, holiday pay is as follows:

Thanksgiving Day - time and one half
Christmas Day - time and one half
New Year's Day - straight time
