Shriram Hegde

"I fell in love with the Department of Hispanic Languages and Literature(HLL) and decided to pursue a double major, and that decision opened my eyes to a new horizon!

For those considering Stony Brook, if you want a place to freely explore your options while challenging yourself, this is the right place for you. Some pieces of advice I would give would be to pursue what you want to pursue; do not let traditional statements like “I’m a pre-med so I have to major in Biology” hold you back. You should do what you love and everything else will follow!"
