Undergraduate Scholarships for AMS Majors

 

There are four scholarships open to all AMS majors.  They are administered by the Undergraduate Office of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences.  The deadline is normally in mid-February, although the deadline has been delayed this year. The Applied Mathematics and Statistics Memorial Scholarship was endowed by a friend of the department in honor of the four AMS alumni who died at the time of the World Trade Center tragedy.  Current value: $1,500.

The Srivastav, Tucker & Tucker Scholarship is funded by an AMS alumnus in honor of three members of the department who had a strong impact on this person’s education. Current value: $750.

The Weinig Foundation Scholarships are funded by Sheldon Weinig, who is an adjunct Applied Math professor and former Vice-Chair of SONY (USA).  There are a total of five $5000 scholarships for CEAS majors and a minimum of two are designated for AMS majors.

In addition, there are three actuarial directed scholarships, two $1000 scholarships from Travelers Insurance and one $1500 scholarship from GEICO.  They are administered by the Career Center.
